[Month 10 day 24, Saturday U.S. market review] Where do AI stocks go next?
- What to look for
- Separate AI demand growth from funding flows and examine different paths from technological progress to work and chip demand.
- Why it matters
- Comparing usage, cash collection, capital investment and adoption separately helps avoid mistaking technical potential for corporate profit or immediately realized aggregate demand.
Timeline
6 segmentsThe video describes model firms buying computing services while data centers invest in equipment and chips. Growing end-user activity turns supplier revenue into cash only if customer payment capacity, contract performance, operational timing and borrowing costs align. Demand alone does not remove delays, higher costs or refinancing failures. Ambiguous company names and quoted listing dates, funding amounts and valuations are not adopted as confirmed filings. Summing orders and revenue across stages can also count the same spending repeatedly.
An independent exercise, not a statement by the video creator or verification of every claim in the video.
Specify adoption before multiplying capacity by every new vehicle
Assume a hypothetical annual cohort of 100 million new vehicles and 300GB per vehicle, not an actual production forecast. Universal adoption gives 100 million×300GB=30 billion GB, or 30EB in decimal units. At 10% adoption, 10 million vehicles use the feature, giving 3 billion GB=3EB in those vehicles. At the same adoption rate, design efficiency reducing capacity to 150GB gives 1.5EB. This is total capacity in adopting vehicles, not incremental demand after subtracting their existing memory. Translating capacity into revenue also requires actual shipment timing, memory type and selling prices; profit further depends on manufacturing and investment costs.
Check for yourself
- Is the denominator annual new-vehicle production or the cumulative fleet?
- Which period, region and vehicle types does adoption cover, and is it confirmed by orders?
- Have total installed capacity and the increment over existing specifications been separated, along with capacity growth versus supplier revenue and profit?
Limits of application
Annual production of 100 million, adoption and per-vehicle capacity are illustrative assumptions. They do not verify 300GB as a confirmed specification for every vehicle. Decimal GB and EB are used. Yield, spare capacity, replacement demand, prices, existing specifications and supplier shares are excluded. No adoption date or company result is forecast.
