He diagnoses today as an AI-wide selloff whose essence is a financial problem. He reports the Dow -0.34% and the S&P -1.09% while the Nasdaq -2.15% and chips -3.83% across AI. He reads the Nasdaq falling further than the Russell 2000, -1.63%, as tech financing fears rather than a rate problem. He cites 6600 hundred-million-dollar Oracle and 1600 hundred-million-dollar CoreWeave backlogs, explaining phantom demand piling through over-ordering in shortages. He notes the Philadelphia chip index fell 9 straight sessions for the first time in 20 years, with Korea already at July (month 7) lows. He warns neocloud CDS premium spikes push funding rates into the 9% range. He names unlisted AI data-center demand as the price driver, flagging Anthropic's listing and the midterms' end as variables. All directional outlooks are the speaker's conditional judgments and do not confirm any short-term price forecast.

[October (month 10) 17 Saturday US Market Brief] Is an AI-Driven Credit Crisis Coming?

DB Securities strategist Moon Hongchul frames the trigger and rebound terms of a market tougher than July (month 7) with a match and gasoline analogy. He links the CoreWeave default risk and 10 year Treasury spread widening from 50 bp to 200 bp with foreign selling since the end of September (month 9). He calls the 5 percent debate a hedge fund scheme and reads short covering at minus 2 sigma plus falling rates on bad news as the end of weakness. He criticizes Fed judgment and data dependence and sees the allocation rotation lasting 2 to 3 months. His stability gauges are a narrower CoreWeave CDS, 10 year notes at 4.8 percent, defending the July (month 7) low and divided government after the midterms. He rebuts AI led growth with a GDP chart and says to follow the leading rooms over facts. He sets 1320 won this year and 1250 won next year on exports and explains Korea's structural heavier hit. All directional views are the speakers' conditional judgments and do not confirm any short term price forecast.

'High prices are Trump's fault': uneasy US public mood | Insight30

Recording on October (month 10) 14, the day after a sell-sidecar halt, he sees the KOSPI 6000 battle as a staged-buying phase from the prior day. He argues for buying both extremes, pairing 2028 growers with cheap large caps. He says the market has moved past disappointment into doubt, when swelling questions over AI payback sow rally seeds. He flags the EPS-chasing trap, diagnosing an excessive-discount phase from hyperscaler FCF deficits and a higher discount rate. He warns against mechanical repetition of rates and history, citing 1998, 2022, and 2002 to 2007 cases. He stresses PER is a function of growth, urging checks on margin durability and shareholder returns over cheap multiples. He cites mechanical foreign selling and Korean governance doubts, urging buying at prices worth holding rather than after confirmation. All directional outlooks are the speaker's conditional judgments and do not confirm any short-term price forecast.

The Word to Survive a Hellish KOSPI: 'Both Extremes' | Economic Commentator Yoon Ji-ho [Weekend Interview]

In a CNBC interview, Janus Henderson Global Head of Macro Richard Bernstein interprets the tech selloff in which the Nasdaq fell more than 4% on the week, its worst week since June (month 6). He sees this point in the cycle as a tightening phase in which the Fed takes the punch bowl away from the party, while markets insist on believing it is one-and-done. He explains that the most speculative stocks have started to correct first, like canaries in the mineshaft, and that signals of the market broadening are emerging. He argues broadening is partly a short-term knee-jerk move, but also very healthy for the economy as a whole because it recalibrates the cost of capital after AI data centers received effectively free money while the rest of the economy was starved for capital. He suggests that if financing burdens ease on expectations of lower long-term rates, small caps and other smaller companies could benefit. At the same time, he points to hot CPI, PPI, and import prices as evidence that the Fed faces a real problem, noting that core import prices rising faster than core CPI means the United States is now importing inflation — the exact opposite of the past 30 years. He adds that there are real questions about the future profitability of the tech sector, that CDS-spread and default signals are starting to appear, and that volatility always precedes a change in market leadership. All directional views are the speaker’s conditional judgments and do not confirm any short-term price prediction.

I believe the geopolitical situation surrounding the US–Iran war is one of several factors creating bottlenecks in funding flows. With the war prolonged, I think upward pressure on inflation indicators may persist for several months even if the conflict ends immediately. From that perspective, a funding bottleneck, once established, may also be difficult to resolve quickly. This is my personal interpretation and outlook on the relationship between war, inflation and funding flows, so I suggest treating it only as a reference and examining it critically from a long-term perspective.
